Question: Should I buy this truck?

Hi,

There is a 2005 F150 Fx4 Crew Cab with 163000 miles. It is priced at $5500. The one thing that scares me is that the engine is very greasy on the surface, and the bed is pretty beat up, it looks like it's been used very rough. Should I buy it? Should I pass? What should I do? How do the transmissions and engnines hold up on these kind of beat up fords? What are some of the costly things that might happen? I'm planning to use the car for at least 4 years for college. What should I do?
Thanks!
